Sparky the Dancing Crack Owl!

Cat is driving me nutty.
See, Cat is still very much a Kitten. She is active and clumsy.
I have a few tiny drawers, and minimal closet/cabinet space in my (one-room) apartment. So most of everything is out on the counter or sometimes on the floor where I will not step on it, but will have access to it.
And now, it is out on the floor and scattered about. Because she will just knock it off the counter when I'm not looking. There are also the art supplies/old pieces of art I have done my best to keep out of her way. It is not really working.
Cleaning for my mother's arrival just got about twice as difficult.
Ditto for studying.
Yarg. She needs someplace to play, and I don't have the room for it.
She does seem happy being an indoor cat, though. She doesn't go near the door, though she's seen me go through it. She doesn't even bother looking out the window, though she'll sit on the windowsill.
Calling animal shelters in a few hours (insomnia is looovely) to see if someone can take her. I have no English class today, so I have time to drop her off if they can. Here's hoping, because if they can't I'm going to have to start keeping her in the bathroom for long periods of time while I attempt to clean and organize.

Hurrah
Assuming they count Kitty as a cat and not a kitten (I honestly have NO idea how old she is; she looks like an adult cat, but is fairly small), at 3 this afternoon I shall take her to the Bexar County animal shelter. Yay.
*snerk* she just bit her own tail and looked very surprised.

There is homemade sushi sitting in my fridge.
At least... it looks like sushi... Smells like sushi...
But I have not yet tasted it. I shall do so once it cools (freshly cooked rice = warmth, and I can't help but feel something is wrong with warm sushi).
It contains many things your average bought-from-the-grocery sushi does... cucumber, carrots, sprouts, imitation crab meat (before you say "ew!" check the ingredients on the package next time you're in a grocer's that sells sushi. It's there.)...
If this goes well (the rice seemed tasty enough) I shall make a different sort. I have an avocado and some eggs. The possibilities are endless.

And if it does not go well, you will never hear from me again and it shall be a bad-cooking-induced suicide.

Sushi is edible, and even rather tasty. Not overly pretty, but I blame my rather-dull knife for that.
Will have to cook the rice for a bit longer next time, I think. I always have that problem with rice on this stove, for reasons unknown, regardless of how long it is cooked. Hrm.
