Things I DID this weekend:
- went to Nan's
I love that store. Yeah, everything's overpriced, but they have twice as good a selection as any other place I've found in Houston. And I got both issues of "I feel sick" as well as the back issues of "Manga EX showcase" that I hadn't been able to find at the closer stores. I wanna submit something to Manga EX, but I think the only manga I've got that's even remotely PG-13 or less all the way through is Wings of Fallen Angels. I think I could do it, though... I mean, I don't exactly hold my work in high esteem, but looking at some of the stuff in there, I know I can do at least as good or better.
- Work on ML
arrrrrhg. This is driving me nuts... I've been working on it for hours and done nothing. Well, next to nothing. One page inked, one half-sketched, but I still need the other three pages as well as a front splash image. x_X
- work on college essays
pfffft. Yeah, right. this was even less fruitful than attempting work on ML. *snork*
Yesterday we went to Nan's (I took Nicole and Emma) and then we saw a flyer for a Monty Python showing and festival-type thing at a Borders nearby, so we went to check it out, having nothing better to do, but 'twas not there.
._. and I was so looking forward to the herring toss and shrubbery competitions...
I did, however, locate the second Peach Girl book. 's a decent series, if you're into shoujo. ^_^ pretty art, too... though the colored stuff is a bit garish. Scared me when I first saw an art book for it. @_@
