I had the strangest dream last night. I don't usually remember my dreams, assuming I usually dream at all...
In that odd way dreams have, I knew the setting was something like 10 years from now, even though everyone looked exactly as they do now. We were in the church that I grew up in, the one where I met Tish.
Tish and John were getting married. Tish wasn't wearing the usual white frilly thing, she was instead garbed in this dress I designed around December. (I was going to make it, but I kept losing weight and my measurements kept changing, so it was put on hold indefinitely.) Anyway, yeah, she was wearing that. It's all different shades of blue.
Greg was hanging around John, who was so terribly nervous he could barely function. It was cute. Lem was also there, and even though nothing was said or even really implied, I somehow knew he was dating Greg. Which was just odd, in my mind, since they've never even spoken to one another (far as I know).
Michael, not Tish's dad or stepdad, gave her away... Zach was a bridesmaid. A pair of Matt and Jess's kids (apparently they had about seven) were the ring bearer and flower girl. Very cute.
Throughout the whole thing, there was this overwhelming feeling of joy and contentment. Everyone was happy. I was sitting in the middle of a pew in the balcony, but I was a ghost. Apparently, I had died years before (again, I know this because it's my dream and that means I just ~know~ these things sometimes).
At the reception I gathered that John was a programmer, and that he'd finally given in to everyone's suggestions as to his writing, and his first book was now a best-seller. Greg and Tish had founded a rapidly-growing animation company, Drew was one of their artists, and Robert was on their staff somehow as well, I think as a writer. They were currently working on producing one of Michael's stories.
I can't remember if there was anything more after that. But that was odd.
