My grandparent's 60th anniversary party was fabulous. We watched the slide show Nicole made (I watched it something like four times, actually) composed of pictures of the family that spanned about 78 years. It's funny how my grandfather, my mother, and Nicole all have the exact same smile - one that does not age, and lights up their entire face. They also all have the same love of dancing. o_O;
After the elderly people went home to bed (around 10, I think), there was much dancing with those who were left. I think my father and I were the only ones who steadfastly refused to boogie, further cementing the theory that I am a female version of him. Even victory_radio danced, after some convincing. THAT was great. I don't think I've ever seen my mom so happy, nor do I think any of us have ever laughed so hard.
Now I am back in San Antonio, doing the usual freaking out over my finals. Immediately following my last final, I'll be heading back to Houston to do stuff while mum has surgery on her foot. Then comes the annual Christmas Madness.
