Tish tells me Michael is in town. Fittingly enough, I'm probably leaving town tomorrow. The universe doesn't like us actually being anywhere near one another, y'see. At this point, I haven't seen him in almost a year. Joy!
We now have a christmas tree (yay), picked up in possibly the quickest tree-shopping expedition our family has ever had. Gabe, Emma and I wandered around the lot, picked out the tree in minutes, and shortly brought it home and lugged it inside. It's just a little taller than Gabriel, probably 6'5" at the tallest point, and full of pine needles we're going to be picking up/vaccuuming off the floor for months. A darn good tree. It won't get mauled with decorations this year, as there's simply (a) finally WAY too many ornaments to put on the poor shrub, and (b) not enough time to go entirely crazy. A few ornaments with sentimental value, and some lights, we'll probably put them on later tonight. I am pleased.
And for those of you living under a rock, or for whom I'm the only American on your friends list, or some such, or for me looking back years from now trying to figure out what happened today: Saddam Hussein was captured today. To quote Gabriel: "PWN3D"
