Mom decided there was not enough pee on our floor (Gabriel did offer to help, but nooo).
So we now have a wriggling mass of furry love cleverly disguised as a 9 week-old female yellow Lab puppy. Her cuteness has left us all speaking in a voice about an octave higher than normal whenever she's in sight. We have not yet named her, as we are trying to at least get a majority vote on a name first. As soon as I can locate a working camera, there will be hundreds and hundreds of pictures. In the meantime, she looks like this.
She just quieted down - she's not housebroken yet, and she's still at that "chew on EVERYTHING I SEE" stage, so she gets a crate at night. She was vocal about her displeasure concerning said crate for a while, but I'm guessing she's gone to sleep now.
Gato, naturally, puffed up his tail until it was the same size as the rest of him and hissed at her upon meeting her. But she's quite sweet and didn't make any attempt to bark or growl at him. If the cat can get used to Gabriel, he can most definitely get used to an easygoing dog.
In news not related to the dog, does anyone know where painispretty went? Sudden, unexplained journal deletion worries me a bit.
