It would be annoying if it was not so cute.
Gabriel: LABIA! LABIA! LABIA!
Nicole: That's a lap**, Gabe.
Nicole: New rule. If Gabe says "labia" more than five times a day, he gets a lap.
Me: Oooh, I like this rule. Can we apply it to other words, too? Like, say, "sharingan***"?
Nicole: Yeah! Okay, if you say "sharingan" less than ten times a day, you get a lap.
Gabriel: And it only counts if said while throwing something at Jenni.
Me: I do not like this rule anymore.
Gabriel: Ooh, medicine ball!
Today I have learned that leftover avocado/salsa-pseudoguacamole looks positively revolting.
October 11 is apparently National Coming Out Day. I do not get to do anything special, since I am a boringly straight chick who just happens to thinks a lot of women are very pretty and I cannot really say I care one way or another about my friends' sexualities unless I am hoping to date them (which is rare). Perhaps next year I shall decorate the front seat of the Tahoe of Doom or something - No less than four people have come out to me while sitting there. It is a magical place.
Happy Thanksgiving to the Canadians. I am thankful for Canadians. The ones on my friendslist, at least, are a fun and nifty lot.
Also, I need to use contractions more. At least I am sort of using them again in my speech. But the urge to edit them entirely out of the things I write persists. I need to use them because... have you ever heard a Texan drawl sans "ain't" and "y'all"? It sounds wrong and stupid.
*I do not know if this song has words or not - I have never seen the Rocky movies and I have only heard the song in band. If it does have words, she does not know them - so she is singing "Duh-duh DUHHHH, duh-duh duhhh..." at random intervals. It is hilarious.
**"That's a lap" = "Your actions have resulted in you being forced to run a lap around the parking lot at the next marching practice"
***For those not in the know, apparently "sharingan" is an attack from Naruto. Gabe, Alex, and Nicole yell it when they throw things at me. It is possibly my least favorite word.
