I think Amazon.com loves me. Or my computer has begun buying me gifts.
See, it sent me this. Which is well and good - it was in the "saved for later".. thing in my shopping cart.
Only thing is, I didn't order it. I didn't pay for it. And I don't think it was on my wishlist. And it arrived in the mail today.
Even if I did order it and just do not remember (which is it's own level of weird), Amazon shows no recent transactions (none for all of 2004, actually), and my bank account shows no payment for this item.
But no one has my Amazon wish list, because I am too technologically inept to figure out how to give a proper link to it (I tried, and failed before). Nor is it saying that someone bought me something off my wishlist - it's not even saying that was ON my wishlist for someone to buy in the first place.
In the event that someone did hunt down my wishlist (no mean feat - several have tried to locate it and come up empty) and bought me this, odds are they read this journal. So. 'Fess up, please, before I interpret this as my computer buying me a Christmas gift all by itself*?
*This being the computer that comes off 'idle' when I enter the room, not when I touch the mouse or keyboard. It loves me and says hello as soon as it sees me. That is what I tell myself, as the alternative is that it is a sentient, evil being bent on the destruction of mankind. There is no in-between.
