Yeah, yeah. Day late. Sorry.
Emma's top hat is precious, and I think she should wear it every day. Because it is that cute. Shafer agrees with me. Mom agrees with me. Gabe just sort of looks at me strangely.
In other news, if Rita hits category 3 or up, we'll probably be packing up the grandparents and attempting to find someplace that still has a hotel room available. It's looking like the storm won't hit Houston, though. Everything's pointing at it heading further south, giving us little more than rain and some wind. I keep trying to be happy with that knowledge, but then I remember that us not getting hit just means someone else is. :(
It's also annoying me that no two sources have even remotely similar predictions. Sheesh.
And now, I will be MEMETASTIC:

- being pantsless:
What's not to love? Pants-free is the way to be. At least, when alone. In public places I prefer some sort of pants-like garment. Sometimes a swishy skirt is acceptable, as it is almost like being pantsless, due to the greater space between the fabric and my legs.
When at a lower weight and not in an "OMGSOUGLYMUSTHIDEBODY" mood, I love short-shorts and short skirts, because it is as close to pantsless as I can get. Also because I am told I have nice legs.
- comic art:
It's so pretty! And often filled with crack, as scans_daily has taught me.
Tis the nifty.
Boys who look like girls, girls who look like boys, birls, bois, androgynes, mix-n-match. They can all be really, really hot.
On a less superficial level, I like the idea of someone's gender being flexible and wonky even from day to day. Makes life more interesting.
It's pretty! And sometimes itchy. But still, pretty, and sexy if used properly.
Musicals are made of awesome. You confess your love - IN SONG! You have a fight - IN A DANCE NUMBER! Everything is over-the-top and amazing and passionate and crazy. It's beautiful. I keep trying to make my life more like a musical, but no one ever shows up for rehearsals.
- ryan stiles:
He is a funny, goofy-looking Canadian man. <3 <3 <3
Best when with Colin Mochrie.
- stalking webcomic authors:
If by 'stalking' you mean 'adding to my friends list because they are often interesting people'. But that was too long.
Mmmm, theater. I keep wanting to type it as 'theatre', but I have not reached a level of pretentiousness yet where I can attempt to spell like a non-American.
- wheel of time:
I probably ought to change this. WoT is a series of fantasy books by Robert Jordan, and it was my first introduction to an online community. I kind of lost track of the series after the eighth book or so because the writing and storytelling was starting to get on my nerves. I still can't stomach most fantasy stories. I used to hang around Dragonmount (a number of people on my friendslist were/are there as well). It's where I got out all my annoying n00b-ness before I became the surreally awesome presence on Livejournal that I am today.
... Man, I can't even type that with a straight face.
