For the record? STINGS LIKE EIGHTEEN BITCHES ON A BITCH BOAT.
But it works.
I think so, at least.
The shaking subsided, I stopped feeling so cold. I've still got a pulse, at any rate, which is something. To be safe, I'm barricaded in this part of the house alone. I've got some canned food, and there is a bathroom, so I've got a toilet and water from the sink. My parents are in the other half of the house, with the dog. Belle has been strangely quiet -- usually she barks at everything. It's eerie.
Emma is at a friend's house, and I haven't been able to reach them. Gabe took to the streets in his gigantic suburban with a tank full of gas and an evil grin. Gonna run over some zombies, I suspect.
Nicole staunchly refuses to believe this is happening, and has been in her room watching Aqua Teen Hunger Force loud enough to drown out any noises from outside.
Haven't been able to reach Jonathan, Michael, or Tish. Got a hold of Jenn, she's still unbitten. I'm hoping everyone else just... hasn't been able to recharge their phones?
The power keeps flickering -- we had a brief, but intense storm earlier today and the lightning probably hit nearby. When the power's on, I keep the news channels on. There's some talk of ways to fix this. Military intervention. Biological weapons. Fire.
I hope there's something that can be done soon.
... Mostly 'cause I forgot to grab a can opener.
